Natural Resources Improvement and Management Sector (NRIM)

Sector Overview


The sector is to develop and implement initiatives/projects that are addressing Natural Resources Management Improvement, and utilization of renewable energy for improved livelihood improvement. This is being undertaken in Kiambu, Murang’a, Kilifi and Lamu counties of Kenya.  The total no of HH being reached is 1550


These Objectives are realized through the following Initiatives:


  1. RESPIL Project- (Harnessing Renewable Energy in Schools and Prisons for Improved Livelihoods)
  2. LaSCoR Projects- (Landslides and Siltation Control and Reafforestation)
  3. CFNL (Coastal Youths, Fruits, Nuts and Livestock)
  4. The stove project
  5. Pollinators
  6. RESCUE (Renewable Energy for Sustainable Community Universal Ecology)
  7. Thai Model Village Training Centre in Murang’a
  8. Landslides
